Auto-update to version 1.8 will be enabled on Monday. If you want to upgrade earlier, you have to install manually from the Github releases page. Note that the ZIP file for macOS on M1 was broken and has been replaced maybe an hour ago. No other file should have been affected (i.e. the DMG for M1 was the correct version).
