Hi everyone! I am currently working on developing detailed documentation of rancher-desktop's functional architecture, and was wondering if there were any additional existing resources apart from the official documentation. I will happily share the end result with the community once it is finalized.

Thank you for sharing these!
Hi everyone! I put together this document that gives an overview of the architecture using a diagram and additional glossary and code sections. Any feedback and comments are welcome. Please feel free to also add those in the document. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1T4O7NrK_UF0fdci3qmOPpQ9XV4JaLU-8h-g8R7LZAh0/edit?usp=sharing
Also, concerning the diagram, are there any preferred tools to draw it in code? (for instance anything similar to Graphviz or Ditaa)

instead of managing a fork you may want to suggest items the RD team could add to https://docs.rancherdesktop.io/references/architecture/. The site content doesn’t look to be in the rd repo so may not be as easy as a pull request, but just a thought

Why would you use WSL instead of WSL2?

thanks @eager-church-7365 -- let me review your document and compare it with what we have already written as per the Architecture page that @wide-mechanic-33041 dug up. i know we have some updating to do on that front, so if there are glaring discrepancies that you've found, you can file a PR in our docs repo. but i'll begin a review

@magnificent-napkin-96586 I will definitely go through the official docs again and see where I can make a PR to add some details. Please let me know what your feedback is when you can review. Thank you!
