Not sure what you are asking, but if you are talking about the
rancher-desktop
WSL2 distro, it is based on Alpine
c
I am trying to work out if I need to manage Linux WSL2. An immutable OS has fewer secure concerns.
f
The
rancher-desktop
VM is an implementation detail of Rancher Desktop; you should not touch it unless necessary to configure things not exposed via the UI.
c
Should not touch is different than cannot be touch. I am looking into how it could be exploited. Some malware are starting to target WSL and WSL2. So I may need to put some security controls to offset the additional risks.
