Hi everyone! I’ve been using Rancher desktop as a replacement for Docker desktop on a Mac for a few months now. Today it stopped working for me completely. Basically it gets stuck during startup in the “Waiting for services…“, “Waiting for nodes…” or “Waiting for Kubernetes API…” steps randomly. The command line tools, like
kubectl
and
helm
seem to be working from the terminal, but the
docker
command just hangs. I tried Factory Resetting, reinstalling, using a different version of k8s and deleting the .kube folder, but I can’t seem to recover it to a working state. Any ideas? It would be great if I didn’t have to reinstall my Mac.

Hi Almos, does re-install fixes it? can you include some logs to see what is happening? thanks
