AFAIK Traefik v2 does not support
Ingress
, at least it didn't when it was launched. Haven't looked at it lately, so might be they reverted that choice, but going by the "sales pitch" when v2 was launched it seems unlikely.

yes… of course it supports ingress. It has its problems but it’s the standard resource type used by most projects for compatibility reasons. https://doc.traefik.io/traefik/providers/kubernetes-ingress/

Alright, I thought so, thank you very much, then it could be a good idea to change their wording in the migration page, or maybe in the in the k3s docs about the migration that links to it, as everything there made me assume that IngressRoute would be taking the place of Ingress and that I needed to migrate everything

Yes, supports Ingress. And you can still reference Traefik CRDs like middlewares and authentication using annotations on the Ingress.
