unfortunately, Longhorn has no such feature. Technically you can use the SSD as a cache with dm-cache, but we never test this before.

Thanks Kiefer - also, just another follow-up. Longhorn actually recommends 2 replicas but of course it defaults to 3. I cannot change the setting in the UI, as it references a helm chart. Where could I modify the helm chart instead so I can change the replica count?

you need to create a new storage class with two replica, don't modify the harvester-longhorn one
