I don't understand what you are trying to do. What is the "client ip", and who do you want to pass it to?

Ah, ok. I don't know, and it is not really specific to Rancher Desktop at all. See if you can find something on Google? The first thing I saw was Getting real client ip using ingress-nginx in kubernetes · Issue #7655 · kubernetes/ingress-nginx; not sure if that can give you some ideas.

I tried several things like this before posting the question above where I sort of came into conclusion that it might be either related to rancher desktop or macos with rancher desktop setup. I'll check this issue, I think it's familiar though but will try it out.
