I answer my own question. moving to 5.5:latest, I get a newer kernel (currently 6.7.9)

Btw. where is the Dockerfile of registry.suse.com/suse/sle-micro/5.5:latest to check what`s inside? I guess https://github.com/rancher/elemental/blob/main/Dockerfile.dev.os is near but not the source of truth?
