However, every time the filesystem in the new VM is corrupted and I have to xfs_repair the filesystem. Sometimes when the new VM with yhe repaired filesystem then boots I'm missing files and binaries and things.

Hi @full-train-34126 I think you encountered an LH known issue LH https://github.com/longhorn/longhorn/issues/6899 It will be addressed in Harvester v1.3.0 (LH v1.6.0)

Ah, ok. So its because my original os cloud image is one backing image. I then build a VM from it and export as a new backing image itself backed by the os backing image. And Longhorn doesn't like that. Thanks for linking that. Much appreciated.
