If there are volume/replica still running on the node, Longhorn might block the drain using PDB to protect the Longhorn volume from data corruption. Some docs related to this: • https://longhorn.io/docs/1.5.3/references/settings/#node-drain-policy • https://longhorn.io/docs/1.5.3/volumes-and-nodes/maintenance/

hi, the note in the documentation says, it should behave the same way as before, right? if not, how do i evict the replicas from the cordoned node? Note: Normally you don’t need to evict the replicas before the drain operation, as long as you have healthy replicas on other nodes. The replicas can be reused later, once the node back online and uncordoned.
