No, you don't have to have those symlinks configured. Rancher Desktop prints those messages because it bundles the latest versions of
docker-compose
and
docker-buildx
, and then uses those symlinks to make them usable. But if you've already got them in place (and you don't care about having the most up-to-date versions of them) you don't have to worry about it.
