Hi, K3s HW requirements should be considered separately from those of Longhorn. Longhorn should be considered as any other application and has its own requirements. If you see the OOM killer running in a node that means that the memory on that node is not enough for the sum workloads running there and that's related to the sizing and planning of the cluster not to K3s or Longhorn.
If you can share your environment sizing (number of worker nodes in the cluster, CPU/RAM on those nodes, ..) we may have a better understanding of how much resources may be available for your applications after installing K3s and deploying Longhorn on top of it.
