I uninstalled Rancher Desktop and re-installed Docker Desktop (Windows 10). For reasons I can't explain, the product was "flaky", meaning that periodically and without warning the Docker daemon would just stop working. I would have also have containers running with mapped ports that worked fine under but often were inaccessible under RD, meaning, I was not able to access the services running on the mapped port. I also like the fact that DD allows you to manage your images and containers from within the UI rather than having to issue Docker CLI commands for general activities.

Hello Steve, thank you for trying Rancher Desktop and providing use feedback on your experience. I'd be curious about the flakiness you saw about mapped ports but I realize that you've moved on. As for the UI feedback, we do have plans to incorporate more management in the future, but we don't have a timeline yet. We have existing requests in https://github.com/rancher-sandbox/rancher-desktop/issues/2115 & https://github.com/rancher-sandbox/rancher-desktop/issues/2784 that cover what you've asked for, so we have to schedule it amidst our other UI work.
