No you do not need your own DNS servers or a DNCP server in order to install a Harvester cluster. The nodes of the Harvester cluster can be given static IP addresses and can be given an external DNS server (eg 8.8.8.8).

yap, you could also refer to this configuration
https://docs.harvesterhci.io/v1.1/install/harvester-configuration
and
https://docs.harvesterhci.io/v1.1/install/management-address
Thanks!

The external DNS 8.8.8.8 is for what use? This is closed environment without Internet access. Images are uploaded manually. Thank you.

I thought if the air-gapped environment. Just so you know, you don’t need the external DNS. But maybe the DHCP server is better to have.
