Neat, both FreeBSD and NetBSD still have support for
docker-machine
in their package collections. Maybe we should just port the VirtualBox driver to lima and call it a day ? (it just forks
VBoxManage
)

VirtualBox is not supported in NetBSD though. :)

Oh, it looked like it was. Then again, it's invaded
I think it was supported in FreeBSD, but x86 only

(I think I'm the one to blame for packaging
docker-machine
in pkgsrc... I even forgot why I packaged it and/or if I was able to actually use it! :))

Well, it has cloud drivers as well. Thought about porting those too

(I guess for maybe it's support to spin up VMs also without VirtualBox, but I can misremember)
Yeah!

Since lima uses
cloud-init
by default, it should probably be easier ?
Then again, you can probably just use
ssh
and
sshocker
and some shell

Yeah, indeed,
ssh
or
sshocker
should do the trick

(sshocker was for tunneling the ports and files for you)
I stopped after
podman-machine
, thankfully containerd-machine became lima
Having one hypervisor solution per vendor turned out to be painful in the end...
It was better with VirtualBox, the only problem was which vendor (i.e. Oracle)
