You could install RKE2 on the Linux VMs though, and connected them the same way you would at home. But you probably won't have LoadBalancer thingie, just more configuration

yep thought about that - thats how i installed it on-prem.

yes you can install RKE2 on Azure instances (VMs) either directly or provision from Rancher
