@prehistoric-barista-70029 i'm a little confused though - this CRD is part of k3s, or rancher?
...k3s, right? 🙏
p
the website I linked is k3s...I'll let you guess 🙂
b
yeah, that was why i assumed yes, but k3s comes from rancher and i'm not confident with the documentation yet
p
k3s is an actual product, k3os isn't. k3os is also now deprecated and not maintained anymore, so you may want to switch to something else eventually!
b
huh. how come the github repo is still seeing activity?
p
You're right, I didn't notice the new commits that just happened. But it was completely dead for quite a long time with no feedback. Keep in mind it's still not a product; simply a project.
b
good to know. thanks!
@prehistoric-barista-70029 do you know where they document these crds? i'm curious if
<http://ClusterRepo.catalog.cattle.io/v1|ClusterRepo.catalog.cattle.io/v1>
is owned by k3s or rancher
i'm assuming "no"
h
apologies, friends. i am the maintainer but k3os hasnt been on my radar except for my own homelab considerations (work priorites have been elsewhere). i am resigning from rancher soon and there are better alternatives out there so i don't see this project coming back to life anytime soon (i could be wrong!) for alternatives, please see: • https://github.com/c3os-io/c3oshttps://github.com/rancher/os2 both of these are based on https://github.com/rancher-sandbox/cOS-toolkit
p
Rancher OS2 seems to be dead too since Darren also left Rancher. TBH all the big names that seemed to drive all these nice projects are leaving one-by-one from Rancher is pretty scary as to the future of all Rancher projects.
