Hello Developers, Occasionally the administrators get a good scare that they broke the clusters. We normally automate the cluster with the API, but if they click save with the UI the security.yml is not saved correctly. This issue is open for a long time now and persists throughout all version. Is this something that can be address or at least comment the issue or something that i know this is being addressed? This issue: https://github.com/rancher/rancher/issues/37861 That is a referenced to a closed issue: https://github.com/rancher/rancher/issues/36197 With kind regards: Bob.

Looks like that needs some triaging from the core team, it may turn out to be a UI issue though. Might be worth bringing up in the next Engineering Office hours (see https://github.com/rancher/rancher/labels/rancher-office-hours for upcoming ones)

Most definitly a ui issue. If you
edit the cluster as yaml
in the ui, the empty values can be removed and saved correctly. After that the yaml is not parsed before saving it to disk. So its only the serialization from the ui to the yaml that would be saved. I will check the office hours. Thank you

I've moved it over to the UI's repo (rancher/dashboard). I can't reproduce this with an RKE2 cluster without an encryption provider so updated the title appropriately
