Hi Would like to know TANZU vs Rancher so that we can go for one of the product in our ongoing k8s management planning

Tanzu is an entire product line, Rancher is a product. What comparison are you looking to do?

trying to see which one should we consider as we have VMWare in our environments

ok, well, Rancher can manage any cncf certified cluster of kubernetes. You can also provision as well. What I recommend is to do a PoC of both and find what works for you. I have seen people use Tanzu products and I see a lot of people use Rancher with VMware products all the time.
