no… sounds like NTP isn’t set up right…
b
all nodes are setup and synced but its centos8 using chronyd
c
if they were sync’d they wouldn’t have any time skew
b
i just verified on the nodes themselves that there is no skew.
c
pods don’t have their own time. They just use the system clock.
what are you seeing exactly? just delayed logs?
pods can have their own TZ settings I guess, but they don’t have a separate clock
b
no one of the developers is reporting it. im getting details. BTW thanks for answering my call 🙂
hmm he shelled into the pod and compared it to another shell
is there any benefit of deploying an ntp service in the cluster? they all use the same clock right?
c
that would not be productive, no, since it would be fighting the time sync daemon that you’re already running on the nodes.
b
thought so - thanks for the help!
c
I suspect developer pebkac
b
lol i agree especially with THIS developer 🙂
