Do you run any software that uses ports 9080 or 9443 (like Logitech Ghub)? In that case it would be a port conflict. There is an open issue about making the ports configurable, but it isn't implemented yet: Make ports for Steve configurable (9080 and 9443) · Issue #1890 · rancher-sandbox/rancher-desktop

Hi Jan - that was exactly the issue. Funny enough, it was exactly logitech ghub. Thanks a lot for the tip
