10/28/2026, 4:23 PMHey everyone, is something going on with the Rancher team or SUSE? it's been over a month without any release candidate or alphas or anything. I've never seen this before. Thanks!

10/28/2026, 6:23 PMits a monthly release cycle, yes. Sometimes there are hotfix/rc/beta tags cut if teams request them for various reasons, but in general the cadence is monthly.

10/28/2026, 6:23 PMIf you are trying to judge progress, you could look at merged PRs, or release milestones, or any number of other things.

10/28/2026, 6:24 PMwhich is to say no, there is nothing unusual going on. there will likely be some prerelease tags cut within the next few days, if everything goes according to plan.

10/28/2026, 6:25 PMThanks. To be clear, I'm not trying to judge progress per se. I've been using Rancher for years and I cannot remember the last time there weren't any Rancher alphas or rc releases for that long, that's all.
