i’m trying to use rd1.24.0 (macOS 27) ... i have a docker-compose.yml with a couple of containers, one depends on two others. when i docker-compose up that container, it starts the two dependent containers. each of the containers is supposed to start a service and that service's port is supposed to be published. on a dependent container,
wget
can connect to the running service of that container. from the rdctl shell, i can connect to both dependent containers' services. from none of the containers can i connect to another container's service. is there something i'm likely doing wrong?
docs.docker.com/compose/how-tos/networking
Compose automatically connects all services to the default network, so you don't need to define
networks
explicitly in the Compose file.
My docker-compose.yml doesn't have a

Do you use the proper service name and internal port number to connect? The external port numbers don't work inside the cluster (and neither does
localhost
to connect to a different service).

oh
ok, instead of testing
localhost
, i tried the service as defined in
services:
-- wget reports "bad address"
oh
sigh, i did that wrong
ok, it is working...

Ok, good. I've asked AI to create a repro case, and it claims it works 😄
