Hi everyone 👋 I noticed that the Rancher Manager docs now use the SUSE logo as the browser favicon instead of the Rancher cow. Example: ranchermanager.docs.rancher.com/v2.15/getting-started/overview Was this an intentional branding change for the docs site? If so, I’d love to understand the reasoning. I’m an organizer of RancherJP, an unofficial Rancher community in Japan that’s been active since 2016. For many of us, the cow in the browser tab is still a strong part of Rancher’s identity—especially when we have lots of SUSE/Rancher tabs open at once. Would the docs team consider keeping the Rancher logo (or a Rancher-by-SUSE mark) as the favicon on ranchermanager.docs.rancher.com? Thanks for all the work on the docs.

Thanks—that helps me understand the migration described in the README and #2371. One small follow-up: the old Rancher cow favicon is still in the repo (

community-supplemental-files/favicon.ico

) but unused, while

img/favicon.ico

is the one referenced in

head-meta.hbs

. Do you happen to know whether the SUSE favicon is an intentional branding choice for ranchermanager.docs.rancher.com, or whether it could have been an unintended change during the migration? If it’s intentional, I won’t open a PR to change it back. As the organizer of RancherJP, I’ll miss the cow in the browser tab. It’s been a meaningful symbol for me throughout our community’s activities since 2016. Thanks again for walking me through the files.

Quick follow-up: I filed github.com/rancher/rancher-product-docs/issues/1415 after this thread. The docs team restored the Rancher cow favicon for the community site in github.com/rancher/rancher-product-docs/pull/1416 — they aligned the tab icon with the header logo. Thanks again for the pointers to the README and the unused cow file.
