Yes, it is maintained and supported

Thanks! Are there alternatives worth looking into, or do you feel like this is the right way to address the issues I mentionned?
c
probably the best way at the moment. long term I would be looking at doing it kubernetes-native with capi
but rancher provisioning and day2 ops doesn’t quite support that yet
mostly due to significant gaps in what the capi standard itself supports
n
Thank you, I appreciate.

Are you talking stand alone RKE2? If so, I have a Terraform module to deploy on AWS: https://github.com/rancher/terraform-aws-rke2
If you aren't using AWS you should still be able to crib a bit of the code from there.
n
No, rke2 managed by rancher (on AWS). But thanks!
b
Yes, then the Rancher provider is the way to do that with Terraform. I am working on updating the examples directory to make things run smoother, and the provider is in the process of a rewrite (updating from provider protocol v4 to v6/framework), but we watch issues and I generally get them assigned to teams to get questions answered and problems addressed.
Feel free to ask anything about Terraform in the #C07M052K9D0 chat if you have any problems and I will answer as soon as I see it.

Thank you so much!

Hi everyone, are there any examples on creating rke2 clusters that have cloud-config inside of them?
not sure where to put the cloud-config value that we are using

lets move this from the thread to the main channel
