if you set it to
delete-both-statefulset-and-deployment-pod
you should no longer see pods with storage stuck on a down node. We have it switched on. I assume there is a small risk that if the node is still semi alive there could be multiple processes writing to the same volume which would lead to data corruption.
although that is not written anywhere in the docs so likely not actually an issue
