Sounds odd. Did you create a case with Suse or a Github issue?

A bit of research later I found that I had used the same name in the import CRD metadata. Perhaps that was the cause of it. Once I changed the name it worked. Still frustrating though as the resulted imported images made from the vm-import-controller did not allow me to edit the image config, which I needed to do in order to apply labels to the image
