we've only done it via

after_install_chroot_commands

but I'd be interested if anyone's doing it in cloud init

yeah we done stuff like this for Harvester v1.6:

after_install_chroot_commands:

- "zypper --non-interactive --quiet addrepo <https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5/step/openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5.repo>"

- "zypper --non-interactive --quiet addrepo --refresh <https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/filesystems/SLE_15_SP5/filesystems.repo>"

- "zypper --gpg-auto-import-keys refresh"

- "zypper --non-interactive install suse-module-tools modutils awk dracut perl-Bootloader kmod-zstd zfs zfs-kmp-default"

One issue is this doesn't survive upgrades

CloudInit

crd, there's not a ton of docs and I was having issues w/ it clobbering the install config. I'd be curious to see more in-depth examples

the

after_install_chroot_commands

will result in changes which will be lost during an upgrade
