I dont know how your network is set up, but the connection being made from a pod on the new node is going to a cloudflare address (104.16.0.0/12) not a google address (142.250.0.0/15) like your connections from pods on other nodes. Something weird with your DNS?

Sounds like you have a wildcard record somewhere in your search domain. Don't do that.

It was DNS! It's always DNS! Thank you all so much. The new node was not pointing to the correct (internal) DNS server and was instead using a CF DNS server
