what would cause rancher to stop displaying the pods of a statefulset? if I inspect the network requests, I can see that the api is returning the pods
b
In the UI?
m
yeah
b
I always have problems with the UI
You try a hard refresh?
m
yeah it's just in 2.12
b
It's notorious for being wrong. Most of the calls I've been on with Suse, they politely ask to move to kubectl in a terminal instead.
I'd double check in a private or incognito window and/or a different browser first.
m
yeah, agree, but it's half the reason we use rancher
b
See if you can narrow it down to Only in Chrome or Safari, or Firefox.
Then if it's still there it's certainly a bug.
m
yeah have tried most of that, will try safar
b
Chances are low given how far back Safari is on webstandards.
But at least you can put all that in the bug report.
m
yeah no dice with safari
b
Luckily we had a bug with the UI and a specific auth backend and they fixed in a few days, so I think your chances for a quick turn around are good.
You can always roll back to 2.11.3 if ya need to.

@bland-article-62755 not quite sure the UI has a reputation for being wrong. Can you make sure your CSM feeds back any reproducible situation where wrong information is presented, or is missing?
b
It's normally just lagging or goes un updated. It's fairly reproducible. They know about it, Would you rather me open a ticket for it?
s
No, that's fine. Can you ask your CSM to contact me? I'd love to know more

@stocky-account-63046 many thanks, I did search github issues first, I promise! but I didn't come across that issue
