Hello all, I starting on Harvester and today I want to mount my VLAN on my cluster but in this case I can’t see my link available. Some know how I can I do ? Install from ISO on baremetal v1.5.1

are you wanting to use vlans for the management nic or the another nic?

I don’t think that changes anything? Is it normal that I don’t see any interfaces available? Thanks for your reply 🙂

it does change some things. the management is configured on install, usually, and the other nics can be configured in the gui. From your photo the nics are down. Are they physically plugged in?

My fibre links are connected but my ethernet links are not. My fresh installed VMs got the link but via a subnet allocated by my harvester and not on my VLANs. So I said to myself that first I had to do a ‘Network Configuration’ in order to be able to setup the VLANs of my switches in my Harvester.

Let’s back up. How many nics are you using on each node? how many nodes?

OK so : • 3 nodes (fresh install from USB last week) • Every nodes have 1 fiber link • They are on the same subnet 10.0.6.0/24 - VLAN 15 • I want to provide my VM on VLAN 15 • I’ve test to build VM Windows desk, Win srv and Linux that is work but the IP is provide by Harvester on mgmt Network cluster (default) - IP 10.52.6.XX • I’ve try to assign a VM Network on bridge mode but my VM see nothing - Type L2VlanNetwork • Like I said previously I see no up link on my Cluster Network configuration

ok, since it is a single link there are a couple of details. Are you trying to have vms on a vlan that is managed outside the cluster?

is it trunked? aka all vlans presented to the port?

ok. then you would need to change mgnt to use a vlan AND then a virtual network vlan tagged to use the same NICs.

trunked means that all vlans are presented and the host (computer) needs to say what vlan they are on. When you installed did you set a vlan?
