I have no idea about RD, so I'm afraid I cannot be of any help here. Maybe someone in #C0200L1N1MM has an idea. I'd guess it's something about the k3d containers running in a VM and traffic trying to flow out and back in - it's quite certainly not anything that k3d does that prevents this from working.
