Slightly longer version... SUSE's Brand/Marketing teams felt that a collection of brands made it challenging to get market recognition up under the SUSE name, so went with a more generalized approach. a la SUSE Security, SUSE Virtualization (Harvester), SUSE Storage (Longhorn), SUSE Observability (Stackstate). It also allows for more capabilities to be rolled up under the umbrella of a particular product (discipline) in the future.
SUSE also continues to reiterate a commitment to open source and the community. But because engineers gotta eat, too, it's natural to potentially see things along the lines of "[foo particular magic] is only possible when your are a paying customer."
