The UI lets you save an http configuration, but it doesn’t work - is that correct? This is a bit outside my particular area of expertise, but I did find a GH issue in which someone asked this question and got an answer: https://github.com/rancher/rancher/issues/48540#issuecomment-2560330558

Yes that does explain that i can not use http. which means I can either use longhorn or rancher backups but not both or at least not without switching the minio to use https or http manually whenever i want to backup. I'm not exposed to internet and would be nice if i could choose myself if it want to use https/http but looks like they have a valid reason to restrict to https. thank you for looking this up.
