isn't in the list of supported OS. Is there any plan to include Debian? Also has anyone tried to make is work with Debian?

No plans, no. We have not had any customer inquiries for Debian so we are unlikely to add it unless someone wants to pay us enough to cover the cost of adding another distro to our QA matrix. It should work though, since we do support Ubuntu.

You can make a golden image of Ubuntu with snap removed and deploy that. We did this at a company I worked for

I don't think that most of what that person is doing in that gist is necessary. It should just work.
