Why do you say it is waiting for a backing image? The spec.BackingImage is empty, and the condition WaitForBackingImage is False. The replica's current state is "running".

okay, i guess i miss-read that, i'm not sure why, but i have a bunch of disks with unreplicated replicas, i'm trying to figure out why. any chance you can help track it down?

Best would be to file a Github issue for it, and attach a support bundle to it.
