which website is down? SLE Micro is a great choice with Rancher since the teams are close, being part of SUSE
Talos has no specific support, only as a 'general' imported cluster like any CNCF compliant kubernetes
a
The SUSE webpage that had the rancher compatability matrix. It was down for "maintenance" for few days. It's back up now.
So you're saying it's possible to use SLE Micro to host the MCM but also use Talos for using downstream clusters?
h
but the experience with Talos will be very limited unlike RKE2 or K3s on SLE Micro
a
Gotcha. That's interesting. I was under the impression from support that the use of talos (even as imported clusters) werent supported
h
I have not checked if they are CNCF compliant actually tbh, just assumed
if you're considering (or are already) using Enterprise Support from SUSE: the support matrix is here https://www.suse.com/suse-rancher/support-matrix/all-supported-versions/rancher-v2-10-1/ Importing Existing Clusters into Rancher Note: Any other type of Kubernetes cluster can be imported into Rancher.
you need to check what kubernetes versions are possible
a
Gotcha. Thank you!
