you can boot them from USB storage, I just have a USB3 NVME enclosure that mine boot off of and everything runs great.

I was kinda hoping to keep the SSDs isolated to storage to keep things a bit simpler. I suppose I could partition them.

if you don’t want to put the whole OS there, I’d probably just mount them at /var/lib/rancher
