don't get me wrong this is not a production cluster or anything but when I set up the automatic updates a month ago there were images for the RCs and I could install v1.31.2-rc4 on the cluster, but for v1.31.3-rc2 this does not work.

@microscopic-diamond-94749, that's an excellent question. It may have something to do with the assets not being published to the automatic upgrade channel yet. A better place to confirm this would be to x-post this on the #C01PHNP149L channel.
