I have setup a HA rancher cluster and couple of downstream clusters. I need to relocate the servers and want to bring down the system in an orderly manner and then bring it backup again. Is there an order in which this should be done such as shutting down the downstream cluster VMs first and then the Rancher cluster VMs? Should I take snapshots of the downstream clusters first so if anything goes wrong I can revert to the snapshot?
I finally found a comprehensive guide by SUSE on this. https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc/?id=000020031#:~:text=Shutting%20down%20the%20etcd%20nodes&te[…]cker%20stop,the%20system%20sudo%20shutdown%20now I was able to shutdown all VM in an orderly manner, with downstream clusters VMs first and then Rancher and it worked following the guidelines may be a safer option
