Didn't solve the actual issue. I just uploaded all the helm charts into the GitLab helm registry and now use the "http" type for Rancher Repositories. Which uses the exact same HTTP Basic Auth Secret, yet it works miraculously. I assume the "git" type repository in Rancher v2.10+ is broken for the foreseeable future and is to be avoided.
