Since you reference the rke2-uninstall.sh did you actually uninstall rke2? The etcd restore would not work then since everything was deleted on the node.

Disagree with richard. If you bootstrap etcd from cold snapshot, it should still work on a brand new node. However i believe you have to restore it from the same rancher instance, so if you only start with fresh nodes all over and only an etcd snapshot, you might be in trouble.
