11/07/2024, 7:16 PMIt was essentially unmaintained for a while, so we got them to move it out to its own org (flannel-io) and the k3s/rke2 team has been maintaining it since early 2022.

11/08/2024, 5:11 PMOh wasn't aware of that. I still don't like the kOps warning labels about Flannel/Canal. I want to make a choice for the next 5 years since it is foundational and can't be changed without redoing everything. I don't like all the hype and churn surrounding Cilium at the moment and I like the ability to see pod routing in ordinary linux routing commands. Tigera seems very focused on CNI and Calico unlike Weaveworks who was a failed bet on GitOps really. Therefore Calico 🙂 I could flip a coin like the NFL does to decide game winners.
