I haven't developed a node driver myself, but based on the documentation here:

, it seems that using Rancher Machine might be a good starting point. According to the section Developing Your Own Node Drivers, Rancher Machine is a fork of Docker Machine, which is no longer under active development. The recommendation is to refer to the original Docker Machine documentation as a foundation for developing your own node drivers.
