I wouldn’t suggest altering the management network settings since updating the node IP address involves many things, including etcd. If you’re going to replace the NICs only, it’s totally okay. Thanks for the note @red-king-19196! I currently only have one NIC initially. It is for my homelab, so I don't particularly mind management and services being served over the same network. I'm thinking about adding a second NIC to each node for storage purposes exactly as the second link suggests.
