are you sure you're using the right port, that the user has the correct permissions to vsphere, etc?
c
using port 443 and I can sign into vSphere using the credentials, I can browse datastores and folders etc, however when rancher tries to use these credentials we are getting a permission error?
r
I guess I'm experiencing the same error. Error Message: "InvalidBodyContent: ServerFaultCode: Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password." even though username and password are correct and have worked before. Not sure if it's caused by the update of Rancher from 2.8.5 to 2.9.1. I'm trying to update the cluster from RKE2 1.28.11 to 1.28.13

Hi, in our case we haven't upgraded anything, the credentials have just stopped working
r
Okay so after checking the actual stored password in our password manager I noticed that it was changed. So changing it in the credentials ressource in Rancher solved our problem.
c
fair enough, our problem was slightly different i have one datacentre with 2 clusters, because rancher didn't have access to both clusters we were receiving a permissions error on the cluster we originally deployed the cluster on. not sure why it needs access to both. problem is now resolved though.
