I'd like to have a place for it, and will be wanting to keep it close to core kubernetes. There's a lot of evolution yet to happen there IMO, though spinkube is a great step forward. I have used it and am excited about it, attended the first wasm-conf years ago, etc, but I have yet to come across an enterprise in the wild running wasm in prod (outside of maybe Shopify) as something they're standardizing on. (yet). We need to keep the complexity low for the developer, so adding many choices can be challenging (do we use shim, spin plugin, spin operator, do we see what buildpacks will do with it? does it deserve the kitchen sink?). In general I actively participate in the CNCF working groups like TAG App Delivery and newly formed App Development WG (https://github.com/cncf/tag-app-delivery/issues) and am keeping the pulse. In the meantime, there are still a lot of QoL improvements that can be made for developers for container workflows, so I don't have it on the immediate roadmap. I'd be happy for your feedback as we're getting things back up to speed though!
