You’ll have to talk to the brew people about this; the Rancher Desktop team has zero influence on the formula. We recommend installing RD directly from the GitHub release and then use auto-update. You can then disable PATH management and manage the CLI tools however you want.

Ahh so Rancher doesn't curate those recipes thats all done by community folks (homeberw team doesn't maintain formulaes). Yeah its death by a thousand cuts on managing each piece of software individually which is why we use package managers. I can see who commonly maintains the recipe and see what their thoughts are.
