i want to replicate some of my vms to another datcenter for DR reasons

The Longhorn team would generally not recommend it. Writes in Longhorn are synchronous to all replicas. Unless the connection is very stable, with high bandwidth and low latency, you will see degraded performance. For example, our performance benchmarking shows random write latency of a v1 engine Longhorn volume at 2 ms. Assuming the geos are significantly far away (New York to Los Angeles is ~70 ms), you could be slowing down random write performance by many times.

@adorable-family-41748 should be possible to do through some proper backup solution.

thanks @faint-sunset-36608 for the explanation which i guessed was the case, any ideas to do this without degrading performance? i do not need it the same write time on Location A to be replicated to Location B, just later or "once an hour" or something like this
