where do you see there is an "Enterprise version" of RKE2?

that is for rancher prime (application that runs on kubernetes) - not RKE2 kubernetes distribution and I believe you just have to add the license code in Rancher UI

Thats essentially a support agreement. So if you have a problem you can’t figure out. They will be able to help you out. Also with general architectural design etc. To my knowledge, no functionality is locked behind a paywall

there is no enterprise edition of rke2. Rancher Prime is a support offering for Rancher, which includes support for our Kubernetes distributions (rke, rke2, and k3s)

Hi @creamy-pencil-82913, Let's say we have the current self-managed Rancher community version, and then we want to upgrade to Rancher Prime. We must to deploy the rancher prime on separate instance first then migrate the data from the rancher community version to it? or can we just something like upgrade the current rancher with rancher prime image/inject the license into the current self-managed rancher ? how the proper procedure ? Thanks.

when we purchased Rancher support all I had to do was post the license key in the UI (that was several years ago) - no need to reinstall If I remember correctly the email had instructions
